A twitter user @Naija_Activist shared a picture which he claimed is of Nigerians at Court with Peter Obi on Thursday 9 March, 2023.
The tweet had 61.6k views, 684 retweets, 15 quote tweets and 3,043 likes.
The claim is false, here are the facts
Peter Obi was at the court of appeal on Thursday 9 March to request that the court stops INEC from reconfiguring BVAS.
Briefly after the appearance @Naija_Activist in his tweet said, This Presidency is not about Peter Obi anymore. Look at the eyes of these Nigerians in court yesterday. It screams give us back our mandate.
He added a picture which he described as people present at the court.
Using Google image search, it lead to an article written three years ago on Black Enterprise.
The caption on the searched picture showed that it was taken in 2002 at 1st Baptist Church of Hayneville, Alaska by APs photographer, Dave Martin.
CONCLUSION
The photograph attached is not related to Nigerians or any court sitting, therefore the claim is FALSE.
