A video forwarded several times on WhatsApp claims the United States President, Joe Biden as resigned.
The claim is FALSE. The video was shared with the picture of Biden and a doctored voice of Biden on the background announcing his resignation. A message forwarded with the video says, “This is current America President, Joe Biden displaying patriotism to his country. He resigned due to his failing health status.” The personae in the video claims the president is now considering family first, he needs to be there for his son having lost one before.
It further said the Vice President would be sworn in the next day. Though the actual source of the video in unknown, a simple check on Google showed that there is no information about Biden’s resignation. There is also a disclaimer published on USA Today newspaper refuting the news of Biden’s resignation.
