Video emerged recently claiming that RnB star, Robert Sylvester popularly known as R-Kelly has been released from prison.
The claim is FALSE
An old video of R. Kelly is being used on social media to claim the controversial R&B artist, who is serving jail term on sex abuse charges, was recently released from jail.
The video shows Kelly walking out of Cook County Jail in Chicago.
Kelly was released in 2019 after an anonymous person paid $161,663 in child support Kelly owed to his ex-wife.
He was however arrested again in Chicago on July 11, 2019, and stands trial in 13 charges.
He has since remained behind bars in Illinois since his 2019 arrest and is charged with multiple sex crimes in three different states and four jurisdictions. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include sexual exploitation, racketeering and filming himself having sex with minors.
Findings showed the video was on sky news and other media four years ago.
In 2022, Kelly was sentenced to thirty years in prison and got additional one year in 2023 to make thirty one years jail term.
