A message forwarded several times on WhatsApp claims that the Federal Civil Service Commission in Nigeria is recruiting.
The claim is FALSE!
The message directs interested applicants to visit the federal secretariat in Abuja or visit the federal secretariat in their states.
The message added that interested applicants should visit a specific office at the federal secretariat in their state to obtain the form for free.
The Federal Civil Service Commission has issued a disclaimer concerning the appointment application.
The Chairman Taiwo Hassan in a statement dated 12th July 2024 said the information did not come from the Commission and should be disregarded.
“The attention of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has been drawn to information making the round on social media requesting job seekers to visit the Commission, any State’s Federal Secretariat or State’s Civil Service Commission to ‘pick single Form for free’.
“The Commission warns members of the public to be wary of the activities of fake recruitment syndicates and racketeers.
“There is no fresh appointment going on currently in the Commission. Whenever the Commission officially commences any recruitment exercise, it will be publicly announced on the Commission’s website (www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng).”
